James W. Lintott established and directs Sterling Foundation Management, bringing extensive business, management, and philanthropic expertise to everything the firm does. He previously served as head of one of the nation’s largest private foundations and as Chairman of Sterling, and his background includes executive roles at a major privately held company, where he advised leadership on philanthropic matters and strategic issues.

Mr. Lintott served as senior editor of the Stanford Law Review and helped establish the non-profit Stanford Law School Asian Trade Consortium. He co-authored Creating a Private Foundation and Managing Foundations and Charitable Trusts with Roger Silk.

His board service includes Children’s National Medical Center, the United States–Japan Foundation, the Smithsonian National Museum of Asian Art, and Best Buddies International. He also founded and directs his own family foundation with his wife.
